About Me

Christina is a founder, experienced senior executive and a writer across print, digital and screen. As a globe-trotting ABC (Australian-Born Chinese) and twice-married mother of two, Christina is passionate about doing and creating work that helps to connect people. After her late-diagnosis of ADHD in mid 2025, Christina started researching ADHD. She has now turned her focus to creating products, tools, services and content projects that support people with ADHD and help change the conversation.

Business & Social Impact

Christina has led business networks and helped scale education technology companies and arts organisations in Australia, the UK and China. Previously, she ran the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, tripling growth in corporate membership and doubling events to almost 200 events/year. As marketing director of her brother’s education technology company, Makers Empire, she helped scale the company to 3.5+ million users in 50 countries. As corporate development manager of Europe’s largest arts centre, the South Bank Centre, she managed relationships with sponsors, trusts and foundations.

Writing

Christina has been writing and publishing original short stories and poems published since the mid-90s. Many of her unpublished short stories were adapted for her food and travel blog, The Hungry Australian, which won the Australian Writers’ Centre’s national Best Australian Blog competition, from 1,100 entries. Apple used The Hungry Australian in multiple Australian marketing campaigns.

Screenwriting & Story Development

Christina has worked in writers’ rooms contributing story development and research to original scripted drama series for Disney+, the ABC TV and SBS. Christina was awarded a 2023 Varuna Fellowship to work on her Tiger Mum for Hire screenplay, shortlisted (top 3) for the $80,000 2022 SA SBS Emerging Screenwriters’ Incubator, and selected for the AFTRS’ 2022 SA Talent Camp. She loves mining the drama and comedy to be found in stories about ADHD, cultural identity, family dynamics, and gender issues.

Food, Travel & Lifestyle Writing

Christina has contributed hundreds of commissioned food, travel and lifestyle articles to local, national and global print and online publications, including Jetstar Magazine, The China Daily and The Huffington Post.

Food & Travel Photography

Christina’s recipes and photography have appeared in local, national and global print and online publications including Elle, Gourmet, Elle Decor, The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, and InDaily. She was also one of three photographers commissioned to shoot an award-winning, 500-page coffee table book, Flavours of South Australia, for Smudge Publishing. Christina also won the Outstanding Use of Photography award at the Australian Writers’ Centre’s Best Australian Blogs 2013 competition for her post on Dubai’s souks (marketplaces).
